I know it's not RC but I believe Sauce Zahn has a hemp blend.

I'll have to throw up some pics of mine. Going to be in need of some repairs as the knee is blown out. Interesting to see the twisted yarn weft through it

Anyone have a pair of sz 34 or 36 R400's that can measure the rear rise for me? I am trying to compare them to my R423's (13.7oz). The R423's are getting a bit too slim for me and want to grab a pair of the R400 but the front rise is smaller so I'm hesitant.

Back rise is 15.5, both on w34 and w36 (based on the most current 400 17oz.)

Btw, the R424 has a back rise of 16" in w36, would that be an option?

That actually would be perfect but the overall cut is too slim. My 13.7oz R423 have a rear rise of 15 (after washing) and that's the lowest I could go for rear rise. I'll still the R400 a go since there is a good chance the rise won't drop below 15 anyways, but just wish both the rear and front rise were a bit higher. Thanks for the help! Edited by d-rew12

Guys,

Tuckshop & Sundry Supplies is revamping our webstore, need to clear some items (Some RC included).

Register by sending email to [email protected] and we will reply with all the 'secret links' to the discount items.

Bought the last pair of the r424xx in sz36, excited to get them ^_^ Been looking at RC for about a year now, so I'm glad to pick up a pair for $100

My only concern is the leg opening being a bit too big than what I'm used to - I think its a 10" opening??

picked up a Red Cloud N1 jacket from the Tuckshop sale. Probably would have bought one size smaller if I could have but it was their last one. Very nice and warm jacket at an attractive price point. I hope Tuckshop will continue to carry them in the future.

Bought Goodrain's N-1 off him. Seriously nice jacket and fits like a dream. Took a couple pictures.

But on another note, does anyone know what the washing instructions on something like this would be? Doesn't say anything on the tags. Just has where it's made and what it's made of.  100% cotton, 50% alpaca, 25% acrylic and 25% polyester.

We were in China last week meeting with Raymon. The winter in northern China was -16degC with strong wind.

I must say, the Jackets made by Red Cloud definitely save us during our outdoor session in China. I guess it is due to Red Cloud's location, experienced in cold climate that allow them to make really good jackets.

@goodrain, sorry that the jacket didn't work out on size. I believe you sent emails and also facebook comment regarding the sizes and restocking of this N1.

Can you send us another email on your preferred size? I will check if Raymon has got some right away. If so, we can send you now rather than waiting for restock in Singapore.

@B-sandy, looking good!!!

i just noticed the long awaited R400SP (25Oz) has been released, with quite a hefty price tag to match ($429). This put these directly against the likes of IH 25Oz/Sammy 25Oz. Granted, RC is likely just as good, if not slightly more artisanal oriented, and the 25oz fabric isn't common. Anyone knows if this will be limited release? anyone handled these?

Yes, this 25oz R400SP is a limited edition which Raymon wants to try.

As you know, Red Cloud jeans are produce in a small Red Cloud factory run by Raymon himself. With factory capabilities, he wanted to see how it can handle heavy weight jeans.

In fact previously, Red Cloud released a 21oz version of R400 in 2012, in limited production too. This season he is challenging 25oz fabric....

According to him, although he is very pleased with the workmanship results of this 25oz R400SP, but he is worried that his old machines cannot sustain if he include 25oz into Red Cloud's staple production.

To compare with the notable heavy weight labels, I believe Tuckshop is best to offer feedback and advice, as we handled some of them before.

My opinion for Red Cloud 25oz R400SP is that, the main difference is on the fabric. Red Cloud uses Turpan cotton exclusively for most of their products. After being weaved into denim fabrics, these 25oz are soft as compare to other brands.

And although slubby in their own rights, comparing to other brands, Red Cloud R400SP, 25oz is smoother. This is because of the long-stapled cotton of Turpan cotton.

The raw colour is much more blue when compare to other brands.

Thread colour is also specially selected to match this R400SP.

For fading properties, it is very much similar to R400, 17oz with a little more contrast.

Regarding the cut, R400SP stays similar to R400, 17oz. Slim-straight, mid rise. And this time, with 'wukong' arc.

Damn, was always under the assumption it was the 425, because or the arcs. Love to see someone use these for the DWC

i am intensely contemplating doing just that. the thing is i copped a lot of thing during warehouse sale and a few pair of also-limited-edition-must-cop-now jeans, it wouldn't make sense to purchase yet another pair. but then, wearing 25oz in Bangkok also doesn't make sense, and yet i'm thinking hard about doing that.

i have a feeling in a day or two i will just snap and cop that puppy.
