Recommendations for techninja thin/warm gloves for biking in the rain/cold?

might not be great for super wet (although honestly not a lot are) but I have these which are nice for fall/spring. Not heavily padded either. Has touchscreen ability also.

I'd just go to a local REI and see what they have in stock that have the least amount of logos.

I think wearing big boy "tactical gloves" is getting too into the "I wish I was in Spec Forces" and most of them are shabbily made at that.

The  FinisterreJeans just had their first wash. No shrinkage but then I had to wash them on a cold wool program. Strange washing Jeans in a wool program me. The held up pretty well during the first weeks of wear but no whiskers yet, what did come out was the streakiness of the denim. They have the streakiness of the early Edwin jeans which I like but I am not to sure if that what others think about that..

They grew a  half a size during wear but not too bad.

They are nice and warm and surprisingly not too hot either.  I am enjoying them.

There is a exclusive for SNS by adidas coming out in an hour. Originals Tech Super called Autumn Stories, with cordura outer and PrimaLoft lining.. looks interesting for A/W, I'll try to get a pair for my wife.  I really like the reebok X SNS goretex  that they put out last year. They are making some really nice colaborations using good materials, specially for the winter ones.

Hey, anyone else here tried wearing their Qasas (high) in the rain yet? I'm a bit afraid of getting mine wet since I got no real previous experience with neoprene. Do you guys think it'll be fine or should I avoid wearing them if it's raining?

Neoprene absorbs water, it won't feel very comfortable.

Okey that's pretty much what I expected, would be interesting to get to hear from someone who've tried it. I kind of know that it would turn into a mess, just curious to hear what sort of mess that would be.

The shoes would not be a mess just soaked through, as would your feet, - think wetsuit - clue is in the name!

You are better off with something waterproof as per the myriad of post prior or wearing them in the dry only.

OR get a leather pair of lo-tops and treat them - they'll be much more water resistant.

Not cheap but fairly interesting from a design point.

Wow, they seem really down to earth these guys ..Dc the one Kabul the next..

That double passport pouch.. I have been there traveling to Lebanon the year after I visited my brother in law who is a journalist stationed  in Israel. My government provided me with two passports at little cost but warned me to leave the one with the Israel stamps behind at home. If it was to be found I could face espionage charges.. Same thing when  I visited the US later that year, the Lebanon visa would surely have given me a thorough search..So why anyone would travel with both is beyond me..

overpriced version of the covert case.  http://arcteryx.com/Product.aspx?language=EN&model=Covert-Case-C-O

Covert Case is 2.19 pounds while D3 Traveller Duffel is 1.1 pounds.  I don't see the improvement aside from some minor design coolness.

It's not just a design improvement, but the ability to take away what is unnecessary. They make it clear that the bag isn't for around the town carry and that it's not for everybody - http://sdrtraveller.com/pages/ownership-wear-care

The main guy behind this is a design researcher named Jan Chipchase (http://janchipchase.com/) whose work is to build rapport with the people he's trying to understand and design for. If he were to appear as a US agent or spy would be detrimental to both his project and the people helping him.

He's got some really interesting projects:
