I remember that there was a post a while ago regarding people's favorite photographers. What I would like to see are people's favorite photography sites; it doesnt have to be any famous photographer, etc. just something interesting that has alot of images. I stumbled across this one and was busy looking at it for a good two hours, I don't know why:

I also like Boogie's site:

http://www.artcoup.com/movie.html

I don't really care about nice nature pics, graffiti, travel, etc. Do you know anything unique that you enjoy browsing through? Supertangas doesn't count.............

Why are all those places abandoned? Looks like someone invested a lot of money and just left? Natural disaster? Amazing stuff.

^^ I guess these guys just traveled all over Japan to various abandoned sites, its the same as we have here in places like Detroit, Chicago, etc. Factories that shut down, companies, hotels, etc. that went bankrupt........

Check out

www.tettamanti.ch

I love this guy's work. His prints are big, about 80 x 100cm I think. The pics on the site really don't do them justice, but they're still fascinating

And also

www.blumandpoe.com

They have an amazing photographer called Florian Maier Aichen on their site

www.paulus.li

www.bialobrzeski.de

I love what these guys are doing in their own way

Boogie is my favorite too. And he's a nice person too.

I find some interesting stuff on http://www.sxc.hu/ every now and then, although most of it I find worthless.

Reporter: "What do you think about western civilization?"
Gandhi: "I think it would be a good idea."

Sun7h in Japan is amazing. The photographer takes some of the best shots of Fuji I have ever seen....

I don't like very obvious photography--and the huge majority of photography tends to be that, as if they force you to look at some derelict factory or a freakish person. No intelligence.

Either way, here is a nice site for Boris Savelev who is a prominent contemporary Russian photographer:

www.b-savelev.com

Also, Guy Bourdin's site is essential. He invented the shock element in photography way before Helmut Newton.

you will reconsider nature photography after this site: http://www.durhamtownship.com

edit: she's experimenting with portraits more these days, but go to her "best of" page.

That one is nice Seenmy! Can you tell more about it? It's so weird that it almost looks staged...
Here's one I really enjoy: Shorpy/the 100-year-old photoblog (http://www.shorpy.com/)
It's just what it says, pictures of everyday life a 100 years ago.
